Summary

A site access assessment is a review of whether the vehicle and load can reach the unloading point at a site: the gate width, the road, the turning space, overhead clearance and the unloading area. Gulf Elite Transport reviews the details and photos you provide and uses them to select the vehicle. It is a planning check, not a certified survey.

Site Access Assessment overview

Many failed deliveries involve a site that could not receive the vehicle. A short review of the access, done before the load is booked, usually prevents it.

Gulf Elite Transport asks for dimensions, photos and a description of the access. We use them to advise on the vehicle and the plan. We do not visit sites or issue certificates unless that is agreed.

Who needs site access assessment?

  • Project managers
  • Site supervisors
  • Procurement teams
  • Suppliers delivering large items

What site access assessment includes

Gate and road review

Width and condition of the way in.

Turning and manoeuvring

Space for the vehicle to turn and position.

Overhead and ground check

Wires, trees and soft ground noted.

Unloading area

Where and how the load comes off.

How a site access assessment differs from related services

This page is about the site end of the journey. Project Logistics Planning is the parent that also reviews route and schedule. A site visit by an engineer or a formal route survey is a different service and is not assumed here.

How it works

01Describe the site

Location and layout.

02Send photos

Gate, road and unloading area.

03Share the load

Size, weight and vehicle likely.

04Receive advice

Vehicle and plan confirmed.

Typical applications

Checking a machine can reach its location.

Tight urban site

Reviewing a narrow access road.

A site after rain.

Planning considerations

Measurements

Gate width and height are the most useful figures.

Time of day

Traffic and site activity change access.

Changes on site

Fencing and stockpiles move, so use recent photos.

Limits

A desk review cannot replace a site visit if one is needed.
